Helping the Person in Your Care Manage Changes in Health and Cognition
Helping a person in your care navigate health and cognitive changes can be a challenge. It's not always easy, or successful.
There are many reasons.
Sometimes it's the result of brain changes that result in a lack of insight, a lack of awareness on the part of your loved one. Other times it could be fear or a sense of loss upon loss.
Wendy and Sandra talk about driving and moving in particular, and offer approaches and guidance on how to help an older adult make choices and changes that are often difficult -- such as retiring from driving -- but necessary for safety.
